Visiting Clergy
Choir dress: surplice, white stole or religious habit.

Following the ceremony, from about 2pm, there will be a buffet lunch just 5 minutes walk away at the Salvation Army Hall, Academy Street, WA1 2BQ, and through the afternoon drinks in the Priory garden. In both cases donations will be welcome to help cover costs.

Car Parking
Warrington is easily accessible from the M6 (Junctions 20-21A), M56 (Junctions 9-11) and M62 (Junctions 7-9)

Cars may be parked at the Salvation Army Hall (WA1 2BQ) (free) and at other nearby car parks for under £5 / day as shown on the map below.

For those with disabilities it is possible to be dropped off and collected at the small Shrine car park at the end of Smith Street.

Please note the one-way system can make the final part of your journey awkward. When using a Satnav it is better to enter “Smith Street, WA1 2NS” to reach our priory car park than to enter the postcode alone or to enter “Buttermarket Street”.

Warrington Bank Quay Station is 20 minutes walk from St Mary’s Shrine, with trains from London (2hrs) and Edinburgh (3 hrs). It lies opposite the Patten Arms hotel shown in the map at the bottom of this page.

Warrington Central Station is 5 minutes walk from St Mary’s Shrine, with trains from Liverpool (30 mins) and Manchester (30 mins). It is marked in the centre of the map at the bottom of this page.

St Mary’s Shrine is just half an hour’s drive from Manchester Airport (MCR) and Liverpool Airport (LPL).
