Corpus Christi Procession this afternoon: Sunday 3^rd June, 3pm

Please do come and walk along with God.

Starting with our new parish patron Blessed James Bell, our martyrs died that we may be allowed to worship in the open, not in barns and attics anymore. Even now, in many countries, displaying the Catholic faith is punishable by death.

Let us honour our martyrs past and present! Let us offer our non Catholic fellow citizens the grace of encountering the Saviour along their very streets! Let us grow stronger in our faith through this public statement of Eucharistic love.

Plenary indulgence when attending.

Please arrive before 3pm to start on time. Bring flower petals in little baskets if you can, to spread before the Blessed Sacrament. The procession will last about 35 minutes, reaching St Albans at 3.45pm for Benediction; all ending at 4pm. It takes less than 10 minutes to walk back the shorter way to your car if left at St Mary’s.

!!  Ordination minus 6 days  !!

In but 6 days, Deacon Seth Phipps, FSSP will be ordained at St Mary’s, on Saturday 9^th June 2018 at 11am, by Archbishop Malcolm McMahon. Thank you for your fantastic support last year. You set a wonderful precedent. Let us build up on our past experience and make this year’s ordination another success, please God. Please pray for Deacon Phipps and our other seminarians.

FOOD FOR NEXT SUNDAY’S FIRST MASS:

Please volunteer to bring food for our community picnic in the priory garden after the 1st Mass of Fr Phipps next Sunday. Please take TODAY plastic trays for this. Many thanks! 

This week, help 3 poor souls out of Purgatory! You can gain a plenary indulgence this Sunday when taking part devotedly in the Corpus Christi procession; this Friday when reciting publicly the Act of Reparation to the Sacred Heart; and next Sunday when attending Fr Seth Phipps’ First Mass.

The usual conditions apply: state of grace (and confession the week before or after); no attachment to sin even venial; some prayer to the intentions of the Holy Father; Holy Communion the very day.

Did you know? Every weekday, you can join in recitation of the Holy Rosary at St Mary’s, from 11.30am to 11.55am. We thank those who provide regularity for this essential Marian devotion. Please come 30mins before Mass this week and pray the Rosary for so many intentions!

Young Trekkers 18-35: Sat. 16 June

All welcome: bring your friends along

Meet at 11:00am at: Langollen Car Park, Market Street, Llangollen. About 3h walking. It’s only 6 miles so it’s shorter than the previous walk, but there will be plenty of stops: Castle Dinas Bran, Valle Crucis Abbey and the Horseshoe Falls. Bring packed lunch.

From Warrington: There will be a ‘Trekkers’ Mass’ at 9:00am at St Mary’s (WA1 2NS), with departure at 10:00am in various cars, to reach Llengollan Car Park before 11am. Let us know if you would like a lift, or can provide lifts.

Confirmations by Archbishop McMahon O.P. on Wednesday 20^th June, 7:00pm followed by Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament  ending by 8pm. Refreshments.

Eucharistic Conferences 11-14 June

‘Ego Eimi – It is I’ (John 6:51)

A series of conferences on the Most Holy Eucharist by Fr Armand de Malleray, FSSP, in preparation for the National Eucharistic Congress in Liverpool (7-9 Sept. 2018). Free for all. All welcome.

After an extra 6:00pm Mass, each 40-min conference starts at 7:00pm GMT and will be broadcasted on LiveMass.net

The Pro-life garden Summer Fete. Sunday June 24th 2018, feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist. Speaker: Robin Haig SPUC Chairman.

Watch Holy Mass at St Mary’s daily on www.livemass.org. The Mass of the day can be watched for 24hrs and that of the Sunday for the entire week.

Reminder: To receive Holy Communion: to be a Catholic, in state of grace, one-hour fasting.

In the EF liturgy, Holy Communion is received kneeling (unless unable to) and always on the tongue. Thank you in advance.
