Sacraments (Reading)
Baptism
– For a baby, please contact us five months before the birth to allow for a sacramental preparation programme.
– For children and for adults, likewise please allow for several months of preparation before the ceremony.
Confession
– Confessions are usually heard half an hour before every Mass. Alternatively please ask a priest for an appointment.
Holy Communion
– To enrol on a First Holy Communion preparation course, please contact the priests resident at St John Fisher House.
– Holy Communion for the sick at home or in hospital can be arranged on request.
– See the ‘Reading’ page for Mass times. In the traditional Latin rite, Holy Communion is received on the tongue and, if one can, kneeling.

– Please contact us if you are interested in preparation.
Marriage
– Please contact us to discuss enrolment in a sacramental preparation course for you and your future spouse.
Last Anointing
– At home or in hospital, available on request. If urgent please call us on 0118 966 5284
