It was possibly the only place across the UK where permission had been given for those beautiful and complex ceremonies to take place in a pre-Reformation church, built a mere 33 years after the Norman Conquest, in 1099 (on the site of an older Catholic church.) What joy to hear these hallowed walls echo the traditional Roman liturgy after about five centuries. We thank all those who helped in so many ways to make this Triduum 2025 such a rewarding time of prayer.
These liturgies took place under the auspices of the FSSP Gregorian Chaplaincy, established by the Bishop of Northampton in 2011 to serve the needs of those attached to the traditional liturgy.
