Our Lady of Ransom (for anyone): Sat 10:00am-11:15am, and 20mins before every weekday Mass. At All Saints: during Sunday Mass in the room behind the organ. Chesham Bois: after the Sunday 12noon Mass if not before.

a solemn scout Promise on Sunday before last:

The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a holyday of obligation.

Every able Catholic must attend holy Mass on Friday 15^th August. Chaplaincy holy Mass times:

In preparation for the Assumption, we invite all to pray the Litany of Loreto daily from Wed 6^th to Thu 14^th August included, seeking the intercession of the Mother of God for the following intention: For our FSSP Gregorian Chaplaincy that turned fourteen last 19^th July. May God and Our Lady grant that modest canonical and pastoral framework protection and stability to bear abundant spiritual fruit.

Pray for the success of our summer camps taking place last week and this week in the Peak Districts.

Pray for Seminarian James now back in America for apostolate and 2^nd Year at seminary. He spent the past few weeks at home in Hemel Hampstead and attended our Sunday Masses in Chesham Bois, as well as the Juventutem summer weekend in Ampleforth. Congratulations on his admission to First Tonsure and receiving the cassock this autumn. Welcome to Seminarian Francis on vacation in his family at Saint Albans.

Kempston All Saints playground: Important Children safety update:

Our offer to the owner of the field to pay for the erection of a fence was turned down because it is flooding area and fencing is not allowed. Having taken advice and produced a Health & Safey Risk assessment, for months we have permitted children to play in that field when

1) the temporary green fence was erected all along the riverbank, and

2) two DBS-checked safety-trained adults wearing high visibility jackets were standing all the time at either end of the fence.

Sadly we lack volunteers, hence the impossibility of allowing children on that field. We would love our children to enjoy that playground every Sunday. You can make it happen. Contact us (bedford@fssp.org) to volunteer as one of the river-watch designated adults on a rota. The Chaplain or the lay coordinator will indicate when the field can safely be accessed by children.

Until then, we thank you for your cooperation and diligence in keeping children within the hall, or in any case out of the field. God bless.
