Spotted on FSSP England Facebook dated 1 October: Congratulations to Fr Patrick O’Donohue, to whom the FSSP General Council granted first incorporation into our Fraternity last month. Fr O’Donohue has just completed his year of postulancy at Reading and we at Bedford wish him well in this next stage. We look forward to getting to know him better as he celebrates the Mass and leads Catechism Days with us.
Matthew Schellhorn will be singing Mass for the feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, set on October 7th in commemoration of the battle of Lepanto: Scarlet running over on the silvers and the golds, Breaking of the hatches up and bursting of the holds, Thronging of the thousands up that labour under sea White for bliss and blind for sun and stunned for liberty. https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/47917/lepanto NB the Catechism day is next Sunday, 14th October, when Fr. Some great news for the forthcoming Regina Caeli academy in Bedfordshire. Fr. Patrick O’Donohue of the FSSP will be joining the board of directors as we prepare for launch in September 2019. Assumption of Mary, by Palma Vecchio (1480–1528) Wednesday 15th August is the Feast of the Assumption and a Holy Day of Obligation. A Low Mass will be said at Christ the King at 7.30 pm.
