Daily Prayer for Priests

In these troubled times for the Church, let us uphold our priests with the following beautiful prayer: O Almighty Eternal God, look upon the face of Thy Christ, and for the love of Him who is the Eternal High Priest, have pity on Thy priests. Remember, O most compassionate God, that they are but weak and frail human beings. Stir up in them the grace of their vocation which is in them by the imposition of the bishop’s hands. Keep […]

Catechism Day–Sunday at Christ the King

A reminder that tomorrow–Sunday–is Catechism Day at Christ the King. The programme can be seen here.

The aim is to cover 2,000 years of Church History in 20-30 minutes (for each age group). Such a task is possible by considering the Saints through the centuries, and the way they characterised various epochs in the life of the Church. (See the scheme below.)

There is now a flood of confusion and evil coursing through the Church. To remain on the Rock Who is Christ, we are assisted by knowing the Saints, knowing Church history, knowing Who the Church is.
