What’s On This Week: Adult Catechism, Ash Wednesday, and Mass of Ages
MASS INTENTIONS
Sunday 12th February 8.30 am For conversion of husband and daughter
12.30 pm Private intention
CONFESSIONS Saturdays 3 pm—5 pm
This Sunday is Sexagesima Sunday, where we continue to prepare for Lent. It is a good time to start thinking about
what Lenten practices we will adopt, and coming up with a realistic, sustainable, and fruitful plan. Remember,
the three elements of a good Lent should be prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. There will be some practical ideas
to help with this on the back of the newsletter next Sunday.
ADULT CATECHISM
Tomorrow, 11th February at 7 pm in the Patrick Donegan room. For catering purposes, please let Fr Phipps
know if you are planning to attend: sphipps@fssp.org, but if you aren’t fussed about food you can just turn up!
ASH WEDNESDAY
Low Mass and Imposition of Ashes at 7.30 pm.
COFFEE ROTA
As people sometimes need to come off the rota, we are always looking for new volunteers, so that your turn
comes up about once a month. It’s a great way to meet fellow Massgoers and you will be shown what to
do—making tea, coffee and squash, washing up and putting the cups away afterwards. Everything you need is
supplied. Please contact Barbara Kay (mbky3@outlook.com) if you can help with this in March onwards.
ACCESS TO THE SACRAMENTS
If there is the need for sacraments — baptism, confirmation, sick calls etc — please contact Fr Goddard on
telephone number 0118 966 5284 or by email: goddard@fssp.org.
MASS OF AGES
The Spring edition is available on the table as you leave. It contains a variety of interesting articles and reports on the Latin Mass situation round the country, including Bedford!
