(Merseyside Walk of Witness)
“I reckon we have been doing our Merseyside walk for about 23 years now – or not far off it. We are a small but determined group and every year in spite of the weather, the blisters and the aching knees we always find plenty to keep us going – our friendships and the people we meet along the way and of course our witness to the truth. We know it has an impact on the strangers we encounter but we will never know how much or if we have really made them people think!
This year it takes place this Saturday 5th October starting at Parkfield Rd BPAS. We meet around 9am and after a few prayers set off by 9.30am. If you can join us please bring a packed lunch. Tea/coffee available at our lunch stop in Bootle. We end at St William of York church, Thornton, usually around 3pm and there we are treated to lovely refreshments provided by Fr Dunstan and Pat.
Please let me know if you can make all or part of the walk – it would be lovely to have a few more people.”
