CONFESSIONS TIMES
Our Lady of Ransom (for anyone): Sat 10:00am-11:15am, and 20mins before every weekday Mass. At All Saints: during Sunday Mass in the room behind the organ. Chesham Bois: after the Sunday 12noon Mass if not before.
The General Council of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter and other members representing the Fraternity throughout the world gathered in Lourdes to renew the solemn consecration of the community to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. In preparation for this act, they took part in the torchlight procession on the evening of Monday, February 10, and spent the night in adoration before the Blessed Sacrament in the chapel of the Hospitalet. On the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, February 11, following a day of pilgrimage and prayer at the holy sites, a solemn Mass of thanksgiving was celebrated that evening by Father John Berg in the upper basilica. In his sermon, Father Vincent Ribeton evoked “the memory of the graces received on February 11, 2022, which are forever engraved in our souls.” The priests and local faithful then processed to the grotto, to renew the act of Consecration.

Very Rev. John Berg, Superior General of the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter, will informally visit Chesham Bois and Bedford on 5-8 March, after his earlier visits in our other English apostolates of Warrington and Reading.
Feast of the Chair of St Peter, Sat. 22 February
Patronal feast of the FSSP – celebrated in the rank of ‘first class’. That day members of the Confraternity of St Peter may gain a plenary indulgence for assisting at Mass under the usual conditions.
Please pray for 25 Subdeacons ordained: 13 in Wigratzbad last 8 Feb; 12 in Denton on 22nd Feb.
Congratulations to Luke and Lauren Carrivick, and to Luke and Laura Scullion whose respective children baby Alexander and newborn Anna Maria were baptised at Chesham Bois on Sat 15th Feb.

Our Sunday Hall at All Saints:
Thank you to the volunteers preparing the hall, doing the tea & coffee, and tidying up after. All are encouraged to pop in into the hall after Sunday Mass as it is an important opportunity to socialise and build up the community. More volunteers are needed: can you offer 90mins (10:00am-11:30am) one Sunday a month?
Our Lady of Walsingham statue now visits Chesham Bois households. Please book to host Our Lady for a week.
The significant cost of £1,500.00 for the soundproofing of the confessional at Our Lady of Ransom seemed justified to us, as we really wished to facilitate access to Confession, the great sacrament of God’s mercy (especially with no built- in confessional at All Saints on Sundays.) Come and try it! Should you wish to help us cover that cost, please put your offering in our collection basket, preferably with the mention “Confessional”. Thank you.
