CONFESSIONS TIMES

Our Lady of Ransom (for anyone): Sat 10:00am-11:15am, and 20mins before every weekday Mass. At All Saints: during Sunday Mass in the room behind the organ. Chesham Bois: after the Sunday 12noon Mass if not before.

On Monday 26 May 2025 sixteen young ladies from the FSSP Gregorian Chaplaincy travelled with their parents to Colwich Abbey, run by the Benedictines of Mary Queen of Apostles since August 2024. Fr Miguel Coelho offered holy Mass. The visitors attended the divine office sung by the nuns, who also led the holy rosary and sang the Mass.

The young ladies were shown around the property. The tour included a show of various animals kept by the nuns, and a display of superb embroidery work in the sacristy. After a shared picnic the young ladies were very pleased to meet with the nuns and ask questions about their everyday life, and about the signs that God may be calling one to consecrated life, perhaps in Colwich.

Let us pray for our valiant pilgrims gearing up for the yearly Pilgrimage of Christendom from Paris to Chartres on Pentecost weekend. They will carry the intentions of our congregations in Bedford and Chesham Bois to the oldest Marian shrine in the world, where the veil of Our Lady is venerated. We pray for the up to 20,000 pilgrims and all the organisers, volunteers, clergy, religious, who are preparing for this major Catholic event. Fr Coelho will accompany the Chaplaincy delegation.

Wish you were there, but cannot? Learn more here about how you can be formally enrolled in the non-marching chapter, praying with and for the pilgrims even though you are not able to travel to France. See here:  https://www.nd-chretiente.com/pelerinage-chartres/anges-gardiens-eng/ .

Interest was expressed for all-night Eucharistic adoration as a one-off. We are now exploring feasibility. Please contact Bridget [nibridget3@gmail.com / 07442 341655] to register interest for one hour or more, on one single night. The likely schedule would be on a weekday evening, this summer, from about 9pm to 6am or 7am, probably with Mass at the start or end. To make sure the Lord does not remain without adorers, we require three adults booked in at every hour, especially during the night. Feel welcome to suggest an intention for that night of adoration, e.g. pro-life, Gregorian Chaplaincy, families, RCA, Pope Leo, etc.

Pray for  the sick in our congregations: Maria Chidell, Monika Oledzka, Mrs Henn, Fr Patrick Hutton, four-year-old Eliah Isaac, Baby Vincent Jones, Tom and Inma Jones, Patsy Crocker, Baby Joseph Osborn. R.I.P. Prima Nevard, Carl Roberts.  Please email to sick list.
