Novena and solemn renewal of the Consecration of the FSSP to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on February 2-11, 2025

To render thanks once again and implore the continual help of Our Lady, all the members of the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter will solemnly renew their consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. To represent them all, the members of the Plenary Council and the Superior General will recite the act of consecration at the Grotto of Lourdes on her feast day, Tuesday 11th February.
We ask all the faithful who are close to us to join in this novena of preparation February 2-10, 2025 and to renew the consecration on the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, February 11, 2025.
From Sunday 2 Feb to Saturday 10 Feb: Novena of Preparation FOLLOWING A DECADE OF THE ROSARY:
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection,
implored thy help, or sought thine intercession was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother;
to thee do I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful.
O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions,
but in thy mercy hear and answer me. Amen.

Candlemass on Sunday 2nd February:
Procession with candles at the beginning of both Masses (which will therefore start and end about 15 minutes later on that Sunday). If displayed by the sanctuary well ahead of the start of Mass, you may bring candles to be blessed and take home.
Congratulations to Daniel Corner baptised and confirmed on Sat 1st Feb at Chesham Bois. Let us pray for him, for our recent converts, and for forthcoming catechumens.
Several dads have booked bespoke altar serving tuitions with seminarian Luke for them and their sons. Do book now for further training.
Email Luke: l.j.mazurek@pm.me .
Please email us if you become aware of a redundant church building, a school, a warehouse, a garage, or other with parking for sale… – and of potential benefactors. And pray.
Our Lady of Walsingham statue coming to visit Chesham Bois households. Please book to host Our Lady for a week. The priest will hand the statue to you at the Communion rail right after Mass on Sunday and you bring it back before the next Sunday Mass for the next family to receive it from the priest.

Please pray the Litany of Loreto in front of the statue, daily, for your own intentions, and for those of the Gregorian Chaplaincy. As a reminder, that statue was blessed by the chaplain on the very spot of the apparitions at Walsingham during our Chaplaincy pilgrimage last year (see January picture on our wall calendar.)

Our Sunday Hall at All Saints:
Thank you to the volunteers preparing the hall, doing the tea & coffee, and tidying up after. All are encouraged to pop in into the hall after Sunday Mass as it is an important opportunity to socialise and build up the community. More volunteers are needed: can you offer 90mins (10:00am-11:30am) one Sunday a month?
Reminder: all children must be constantly monitored by parents if outside, and in loos and lobby. Thank you to all.

VOCATION NEWS: 15 new FSSP PRIESTS in 23 YEARS
We have currently six young men from the UK & Ireland in formation at our two international seminaries. Three of our deacons from England were ordained priests at St Mary’s Warrington by Archbishop McMahon, OP of Liverpool. Those were the first EF priestly ordinations by a diocesan bishop in England in fifty years. Please pray for them (//www.fssp.org/en/help-us/confraternity-of-saint-peter/) and for many more to enter the lists!
We give thanks for 14 priests ordained from or to the UK over the past 23 years: Fr Armand de Malleray in 2001; Fr Konrad Loewenstein in 2002; Fr Brendan Gerard in 2006; Frs Matthew Goddard and William Barker in 2009; Fr Simon Harkins in 2010; Fr Matthew McCarthy in 2011; Fr Ian Verrier in 2015; Fr James Mawdsley in 2016; Frs Alex Stewart and Krzysztof Sanetra in 2017; Fr Seth Phipps in 2018; Fr Gwilym Evans in 2022; Deacon Miklos Homolya in 2024 – plus Fr Patrick O’Donohue (incardinated in 2023).
On the feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, 11 February 2022, Pope Francis signed a decree confirming the liturgical charism of the Priestly Fraternity of St Peter: https://www.fssp.org/…/decree-of-pope-francis…/.
Please pray for us. We assure you of our prayer.
O Lord, grant us many holy priests!
Reminder: if you intend to receive Holy Communion on Sundays at All Saints in Kempston, as you walk into the church before Mass you must take one host from the plastic box and put it in the bowl (not the other way round). Failing to do so deprives fellow-parishioners from their own Holy Communion as not enough hosts are consecrated.
Pray for the sick in our congregations: Fr Patrick Hutton, Tom Holland, four-year-old Eliah Isaac, Baby Vincent Jones, Tom and Inma Jones, Patsy Crocker, Baby Joseph Osborn. R.I.P. Carl Roberts. Please email to sick list.
