LAUNCHING THE HOLY FAMILY PROJECT:
Dear friends, as we begin our third year of permanent ministry in Bedford, we are pleased to announce that formal approval has been granted by the superiors of the FSSP to commence fundraising for the establishment of a permanent home for our community. This is a moment of great significance in the life of our chaplaincy.
A new legal entity, the Holy Family Project Ltd, has been formed specifically for this purpose and will be applying for charitable status. This will be a project operated by lay members of the parish and supported externally by the FSSP. If you have any fundraising ideas or have any questions about donations, please contact any of the members of our team: Alex Windo, Jon Moxham or James Paul.
If we have any donations left after the establishment of a permanent home, or if for whatever reason we aren’t successful, the money will be given to support the FSSP.
Your support and prayer will be vital in the success of this project. If you are able to make contributions, or know someone who would, these may be made via bank transfer using the details provided below. Thank you.
Bank Details:
- Account Name: Holy Family Ltd
- Sort Code: 23-05-80

Getting ready to assist the holy Souls:
Three holy Masses of Requiem will be offered on Monday 3rd Nov in Bedford on the postponed Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed, i.e. All Souls, at 9:00am, 9:30am, and 6:30pm.

(See the pictures of last year’s Remembrance Sunday.)
Reminder: 1-8 November: a plenary indulgence is granted each day when praying for the dead at a cemetery. This opportunity to help Holy Souls out of Purgatory begins even on All Saints (Sat. 1st Nov).

Practically: Be at a cemetery ; pray even if only mentally for the departed (named or unnamed), and for the six traditional intentions of the Holy Father (exaltation of the Church, propagation of the Faith, extirpation of heresy, conversion of sinners, concord between Christian princes, and welfare of the Christian people.)
There must be one visit for each day one seeks to gain the indulgence; one visit will not apply for several days. One must receive holy Communion the same day; have no grave sin unabsolved (sacramental confession made the fortnight before or after); have no attachment to sin even venial.
