Farewell to Fr Gerard Quirke, FSSP. Fr Quirke will leave Warrington on 15 September to further his formation as an FSSP priest in America. We are all grateful to him for his ministry at St Mary’s since his arrival in January 2022: first as a guest, then as a postulant, and since last February as an incorporated member of the FSSP.

We invite all to meet us for refreshments on Sunday 10 September after the 11am to wish Fr Quirke goodbye. Volunteers are invited to prepare tables, light food and drinks (e.g. donating a bottle of Prosecco): kindly contact Audrey Jones 07809 502705 or Joanne King 07743 483466.

Seminarian Peter Uhel, FSSP to spend a year on apostolate at St Mary’s from mid-September. Peter is from Hungary and studies at our European seminary in Bavaria. He lived in England and visited Warrington often, including for our summer camps. We welcome him on this pastoral placement year and we assure him of our prayer.
