CONFESSIONS TIMES
Our Lady of Ransom (for anyone): Sat 10:00am-11:15am, and 20mins before every weekday Mass. At All Saints: during Sunday Mass in the room behind the organ. Chesham Bois: after the Sunday 12noon Mass if not before.
Well done our scouts, guides, cubs and wolvets who camped for most of last week. A huge thank you also to the parents who so generously gave of their spare time to ensure activities ran smoothly and safely, and to their spouses who held the fort back at home. We are very grateful to you all! The camp concluded on 27th July with holy Mass offered outdoors by Fr de Malleray, who joined a couple of adult staffs in doing their solemn scout Promise: a beautiful and significant commitment.
The Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a holyday of obligation.
Every able Catholic must attend holy Mass on Friday 15th August. Chaplaincy holy Mass times:
- Bedford 6:30am; 12:15pm
- Chesham Bois 7:00pm
In preparation for the Assumption, we invite all to pray the Litany of Loreto daily from Wed 6th to Thu 14th August included, seeking the intercession of the Mother of God for the following intention: For our FSSP Gregorian Chaplaincy that turned fourteen last 19th July. May God and Our Lady grant that modest canonical and pastoral framework protection and stability to bear abundant spiritual fruit.
Dozens of our parishioners travelled to Oscott Seminary in Birmingham last weekend to take part in the successful WeBelieve Festival. They were glad to attend various talks and testimonies among 1,800 fellow Catholics. The FSSP had been invited to lead seven events: Vespers, holy Mass and Compline in the traditional Roman liturgy; talks on Sacred Art, the Sacred Priesthood, and Sacred Vessels; and a testimony on vocation by Deacon Stjepan Androic, FSSP (see pic below).

SPUC-Fight back campaign:
In the space of one week last June, MPs voted to allow women to abort their baby up to birth for any reason, and to legalise assisted suicide. Life is under attack at every stage. This is a dark time for our country. But we must not give up. This is a rallying call to rise up and fight for a culture of life, because every life matters. Will you join us?
Please take a campaign card from William Currie (SPUC) at the end of Mass, fill in your details and return to William, so that you can receive important information from SPUC telling you how you can join in the fight back.
Thank you to a couple of parishioners who donated toward the cost of the throne for Eucharistic adoration, and for another who offered to cover whatever is left of the £582.42 purchase and shipping costs. Further donations are still welcome.
