REMINDER: Public Meeting this Saturday
After some extremely good feedback from families after the information event in April, we have made some excellent progress – we’ve secured a venue, we have a board of directors, and we intend to launch in September 2019.
Come along this Saturday 8th September (2018) to find out more about Classical aducation and the curriculum we will use, from someone who has used it for their own children! Venue: Unity Hall, Barton Scouts and Guides, Sharpenhoe Road, Barton-le-Clay, MK45 4SD. For sat navs, please use the postcode, MK45 4LQ, rather than “Unity Hall”, or else you’ll be led to the entrance on Sharpenhoe Road which isn’t accessible for cars.
1:30pm Welcome and introductions
1:45pm Classical education and MODG – Helen Harrold
2:30pm How it will work in the UK…
A reminder that tomorrow–Sunday–is Catechism Day at Christ the King. The programme can be seen here.
The aim is to cover 2,000 years of Church History in 20-30 minutes (for each age group). Such a task is possible by considering the Saints through the centuries, and the way they characterised various epochs in the life of the Church. (See the scheme below.)
There is now a flood of confusion and evil coursing through the Church. To remain on the Rock Who is Christ, we are assisted by knowing the Saints, knowing Church history, knowing Who the Church is.
For Flickr albums of this years’ Summer Camp, see here (Boys’ Camp, 6-11 Aug) and here (Girls’ Camp, 13-18 Aug).
For the conversion of England: Pilgrimage from Ely to Walsingham, 23rd – 27th August.
Register here with the Latin Mass Society
An FSSP priest and seminarians will be taking part again this year.
UP-DATE: Above are a couple of photos from the 8th annual GKC Pilgrimage which took place on Saturday. More background on the Chesterton Society here.

An update from the Regina Caeli UK Board, as reported on the Bedford Latin Mass blog:
In April, we had a very successful talk in Bedford from Regina Caeli, a hybrid academy in the Catholic tradition with thirteen centres in the U.S. More details of that talk are here:

Since then we have secured a venue, formed a board of directors, and we are confident that, if it is God’s will, then we can open the doors during the month of the Holy Rosary, October 2018!
