Please sign this petition and write to your local MP to challenge this blatant and unnecessary violation of liberty. You will be pleased to note that the Bishops Conference has challenged the Government on this point, as have several bishops including Bishop Egan. Please pray that these restrictions are lifted quickly.

I regret to inform you that the FSSP England summer camps scheduled for this coming August in the Peak District have had to be cancelled. This is due to the restrictions imposed by the government, which made it unrealistic for Savio House to host us this time.
Here’s hoping and praying that the 2021 camps will be even better to compensate!

Our regular monthly activities in St John Fisher Parish resume this week:
Thursday 5 September: St Bruno Men’s Group
6:30pm, Holy Mass at St John Fisher House (optional)
7:15pm, time of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament, with opportunity for Confession; followed by rosary, short spiritual talk, and refreshments.
Friday 6 September: First Friday Devotions
7pm, Holy Mass at St William of York Church
Followed by Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament, with Litany of the Sacred Heart, and opportunity for Confession. Concludes with Benediction.

This Saturday, February 2, is the Feast of the Presentation (Candlemas). In Reading there is a special schedule:
9am Rosary in defence of the unborn outside BPAS on Southampton Row
10am Sung Mass at St William of York, with blessing of candles and procession
c. 11:15 St Margaret Clitherow Ladies Group, meeting in the Annex of St William of York – convivial breakfast followed by a talk by Fr Phipps on the capital vices (this week, avarice and gluttony).

This coming Sunday is the Feast of Christ the King. There will be a Sung Mass at 8am.
We also hope to have Sung Masses for the Feast of All Saints (November 1) and Remembrance Sunday (November 11).
