Help us minimise admin & maximise your giving: ask for Gift Aid envelopes to your name

The box sets of GIFT AID envelopes for the new tax year will be available for collection shortly. Anyone who is a tax payer and a regular user of the occasional Gift Aid envelopes (those left on the benches) are encouraged to ask for their own set of dated and numbered Sunday Gift Aid envelopes, as those are much less time consuming for us to process.

Please contact Jane Wright to have your own set ordered for you. Shrine Office: warrington@fssp.org

Welcome to Fr Andrew Jolly, a retired priest from Wigan, who will help us with the Holy Week ceremonies.

All hands on deck: Thank you to all who give extra time to prepare the liturgies (singers, servers, cameramen), clean the church, arrange flowers and cook for clergy and lay guests at the Priory.

Safeguarding Representative: Thank you to Clare Fraser, who agreed to succeed Chris Gehrke as our local Safeguarding Representative. A daily worshipper at St Mary’s, Clare will be part of the Safeguarding Team within the wider parish.

Weekly Family Day: As soon as further DBS checks are completed, our monthly family day will occur weekly. After our usual 12.10pm Mass, there will be a picnic and 2 afternoon classes following a set curriculum. We will end with Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament before joining (those who wish) the Junior Choir practice. Info/contact: Alison Kahn penketh.kahns@gmail.com

Diocesan Involvement: Frs de Malleray and Verrier took part in a clergy session of preparation for the 2020 diocesan Synod. Archbishop McMahon gave a 40-min conference on the Holy Eucharist.

Congress: Three more paid-for spaces are available for Shrine parishioners to attend the Eucharistic Congress in September. Please contact urgently the clergy or directly Fr Dave Heywood, P.P.
