Priory Campaign finalising:

Four weeks ago the Vendor confirmed that a) the Tax Agency had granted VAT lift on the property, a condition for us to buy Priory Court No 2 & 3 for £480k; and that b) we may open a gate in our garden wall for off-street access from Priory Court to our church and presbytery.

Two weeks ago a) the last £50k pledged donation reached our account as the last instalment of five; and b) a benefactor pledged £100k to help us purchase Priory Court No1 (we need £240k within a year from signing). Please pray now for any hurdle to be smoothed and for imminent signing of purchase.

Juventutem Young Adults & Pros hike yesterday (sat 31st Aug).

Fr de Malleray will attend the Voice of the Family Conference at the Oratory in formation in Cardiff next weekend.

Our weekly Thursday school is due to start again on 12th September.

Great booklet available after Mass: Gender Theory: Diversity or 21st Century Totalitarism?

Our weekly MEN’S GROUP (18+) continues to attract 15 men on average even during summer months! Bring your friends along next Wednesday, 7pm!

Forthcoming plans: Men’s Pilgrimage in October to National Shrine of St Joseph in Farnborough Abbey; Men’s Weekend of Recollection in Stonyhurst.

Forthcoming Weddings: Congratulations to Julie Haynes who will be married to Nick Barrick next 14th September at the FSSP parish in Lincoln, NE; and to Matthew Stankiewicz and Gemma Drury who will be married by Fr Verrier at St Mary’s next 28th September. Both couples were betrothed at St Mary’s. We assure them of our prayers.
