Dowry Mag now online and soon in print:

In this issue:

Editorial: On the Death of Her Majesty

Fr Armand de Malleray reflects on the example given to England and further afield by the late Queen, and on the moral responsibility of leaders, especially Christian ones.

The Arundell Family and Catholic England

Richard Arundell looks back at what his family has endured for its fidelity to the faith of our fathers, thankfully retaining ownership of their magnificent chapel at Wardour, still in use.

Evolution and Conversion

Dr Rômulo Carleial, a biologist with a PhD in Zoology from the University of Oxford, writes about the theory of evolution as an elaborate circular argument against special creation.

Luisa de Carvajal: Would-be Saint and Martyr

Dominica Roberts introduces the Spanish noble lady whose hope to die a martyr for the love of Catholic England was nearly fulfilled in 16th-century London.

Special Gift: new FSSP UK Calendar 2023

As a special token of appreciation to the subscribers of our quarterly magazine, for the first time we offer this FSSP wall calendar with 28 pages beautifully illustrated, including all feasts special to the UK.

Baptism: Congratulations to Matthew and Gemma Stankiewicz on the Holy Baptism of their daughter Anastasia Rose on Sunday 20th Nov, 4pm.

Clergy: Fr Stewart is on yearly retreat and assures you of his prayer, as he requests yours.

Priory Court: Planning Permission was granted at last after a very long administrative delay. Sadly over the past two years, construction costs have risen so much as to make it difficult for us even to begin Phase One of the Conversion work, i.e. the Middle Floor Parish Hall all across the building, with lift. Please pray that our trustees might make the right decision shortly about this project which, by God’s grace, would equip us with much-needed space for our ministry.

Please pray for miracle benefactions!

Ordinations to Exorcist and Acolyte on Sat 19 Nov in America for our seminarians Tom (London) and Conan (Ulster). Please pray for them and the other candidates.

Advent Wreath workshop: Saturday 26th November after 12:10pm Mass: meet upstairs in Priory Court 1 ( top floor). Contact Myriam Cunningham.

FSSP Gathering and Vocation Weekend 21-27 Nov: please pray for the 10 priests, and the 19 men discerning.
