To receive Holy Communion: one must be a Catholic, in state of grace, one-hour fasting at least. In the EF liturgy, Holy Communion is received kneeling (unless unable to) and always on the tongue. Thank you in advance.

All must dress modestly in church out of reverence for God and of respect for fellow-worshippers. Chest and limbs must be covered down to elbows and knees at least. No sportswear. Sunday best should be worn by all on Sundays and feasts: suit and tie for men and boys, dresses for women and girls. Men keep their heads uncovered within church; women are encouraged to wear a scarf, hat or mantilla. Thank you.

Switch OFF your mobile phone before you enter our church. Letting it ring inside the church gravely disturbs the quiet of the sacred place. Thank you for your consideration.

Safeguarding: If you have concerns about children or vulnerable adults, please contact the Archdiocesan Safeguarding Department on 0151 522 1043 or e-mail safeguarding@rcaol.co.uk, or speak with Clare Fraser, St Mary’s Safeguarding Officer. Thank you for your awareness.

Thank you to Bishop Mark Davies who stepped in at short notice to confirm twelve at St Mary’s last Saturday, after Archbishop McMahon had injured his foot. Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament followed the Confirmation. Please pray for our newly confirmed, that they might be saintly soldiers of Christ.

Confirmed: Regina Caeli Academy will start this September in Warrington. Thank you to all those who helped make this possible. Registrations still accepted for children in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten and Grades 1 and 2 (UK Reception to Year 3) for this September. Please do spread the word and encourage any other parents who may be interested to contact Regina Caeli Academy Warrington: theacademystmarys@gmail.com.

Summer Camps: sadly cancelled due to Covid rules. We very much regret this outcome, having waited as long as possible for a chance to run them this year.

Personnal: The family of the late Carole Wardell request her Newell and Lofthouse relatives in Warrington to email them: jandcbarrett@hotmail.co.uk.

Thank you to parishioner L. H. who designed and donated the new Parking signs at St Mary’s.

Congratulations to Canon Thomas Neylon, from Warrington, appointed Auxiliary Bishop of Liverpool.  We assure him of our prayer.

Congratulations to Deacon Deryck, a retired permanent deacon from the Diocese of Shrewsbury, and a committed member of our congregation at St Mary’s Shrine, on his 20th anniversary of diaconal ordination, on Friday 23rd July. We assure him of our prayers.

Fr Armand de Malleray, FSSP thanks wholeheartedly all the parishioners who organised the refreshments for his 20th anniversary of priestly ordination, and who contributed to the beautiful set of vestments with the picture of Our Lady of Warrington on the back.
