We also need help setting up on 23/06 Saturday afternoon after mass, including the hanging of bunting, blowing up of balloons, building the marquee, setting up tables, organising tombola and raffle prizes. We need prizes for the tombola and bric a brac, buy raffle tickets after Mass; above all come with your friends and family and support the prolife fête! cool

 

Fr Loewenstein, FSSP represented St Mary’s at the priestly ordinations yesterday at our European seminary, by His Ex. Vitus Huonder, Bishop of Chur (Zurich). Please pray for the five new priests:Dimitri Artifoni; Jean-Antoine Kegelin; Michał Kołodziej ; Yuri Santos de Farias ; Jérôme Sevillia.

Welcome back and congratulations to Daniele and Agnieszka Atzori who got married last Saturday (16th June) in Krakow, after having been prepared by Frs de Malleray and Loewenstein.

 

Requiem Mass for Fr Michael Murphy at St Mary’s on Monday 25th June, 12:10pm. A former member of St Mary’s Choir, Fr Murphy was a priest from the Southwark Archdiocese retired in Warrington. A great supporter of St Mary’s Shrine, he died peacefully last month. R.I.P.

Sts Peter & Paul, Friday 29th June – Holiday of Obligation: every able Catholic must attend Holy Mass on that day under penalty of grave sin. Holy Masses at St Mary’s: 6:45am; 12:10pm (Sung); 7:00pm. Plenary indulgence for members of the Confraternity of St Peter under the usual conditions.

  

Warrington Walking day will take place this year on Friday 29th June. As usual, those who wish may meet at St Mary’s for 09:00am and join the procession to the Town Hall at about 09:30am as it passes on Buttermarket street. After a short blessing at the Town Hall field we will process back to St Mary’s along with the other churches in this traditional walk of Christian witness and arrive back in time for 12:10pm Mass. All friends of St Mary’s are invited. Anybody attending should be aware of the extensive road closures on the day.

 

Legion of Mary? Dennis Croughan, President of the Warrington Curia of the Legion of Mary would be happy to pay a visit and answer any questions that you may have regarding the Legion and assist in any way you require if we wanted to start a group. Please email warrington@fssp.org.

Reminder: To receive Holy Communion: to be a Catholic, in state of grace, one-hour fasting.

In the EF liturgy, Holy Communion is received kneeling (unless unable to) and always on the tongue. Thank you in advance.
