We welcome Seminarian Peter Uhel FSSP who will help with catechism and altar service training during his pastoral stage with us this year.

LiveMass is back on at long last! Receiving many emails of inquiry from all over the world since last July expressed how important St Mary’s liturgical life has become to many isolated households. Donations by our online congregation as well is greatly appreciated to support St Mary’s Shrine. Our heartfelt thanks to Jeff Hall, Tim Wright and D.D. our discreet US operator who spent many, many hours trying to identify and fix a complex technical issue.

Welcome to 2 new households: last week both the Lukacs family and newlyweds Henry and Lucienne W. moved from nearly an hour away to walking distance from St Mary’s for daily access to our Shrine.

A HUGE thank you to all of you who cooked refreshments, set up tables and decorations and contributed to the spiritual bouquet and gifts on TWO consecutive Sundays for Fr Quirke’s departure and Fr Jolly’s silver Jubilee.

Fr Jolly would like to express most sincerely his gratitude to all who, in any way, helped to make the Silver Jubilee Mass and celebrations which followed, such a wonderful and memorable occasion.  It was very much appreciated. Thanks to all for their very generous gifts and good wishes on this occasion and a special thanks to Fr de Malleray and the other priests for their fraternal support and prayers.  Holy Mass has been offered for your intentions.  May God bless you all.  Fr Jolly.

Congratulations to St Joseph Parish in Penketh, Warrington, celebrating its centenary on Sat 23 Sept, 12:30pm-11pm.

Traditional Mass of Requiem by Fr O’Shea for Jim Pennington, the late LMS Rep for the Liverpool Archdiocese, on Tuesday 26 Sept at 7pm, at Our Lady Immaculate & St Joseph, 1 West Street, Prescot, L34 1LE. All welcome. RIP.

Mass intentions had accumulated last year but we have now managed to offer nearly all of them. Feel welcome to give intentions anew, using the little brown envelopes printed to that effect and dropping them in the collection basket or through the metal slot on the Front Door of the Presbytery. The average stipend in £10.00.
